Throughout history, silver and copper have been used to keep water pure. Both metals are known to destroy bacteria, algae and fungi, providing a purified environment. During the Westward Expansion in the 1800's, pioneers would drop silver dollars into their water barrels. The silver coin in the sloshing water would disinfect water in the barrels, protecting the wagon train from waterborne illnesses despite the heat and humidity on their journey. The very concept of silverware comes from emperors and nobles insisting on drinking and eating from silver utensils. Even before the discovery of germs, we knew silver would keep our dishes and utensils pure. Today, 254 miles from earth, NASA astronauts rely on a silver-based water purification system in the International Space Station. If these elements are good enough for astronauts and royalty, isn't it time you experience these benefits for yourself and your family? Most of us with water bottles rinse the container and refill it - usually only washing the bottle with soap once a week. Bacteria isn't waiting a week. Bacteria can multiply rapidly in room-temperature water, doubling every 20 minutes. Kids are especially careless about the upkeep of their bottles. The Coin of Harmony really helps against bacterial contamination without effort.
