The sewing machine teapot is based on the traditional Singer sewing machine, with a basket of wool, scissors and a length of material on top to give the design a realistic look. Singer's original design was the first practical sewing machine for general use, it incorporated the basic eye-pointed needle and lock stitch developed by Elias Howe who won a patent infringement suit against Singer in 1854. This teapot is the perfect addition to your collection or giving as a gift!
