To Set the Time

To change the battery, remove the clock face from the crystal body. Remove the clear, white rubber gasket around the outer rim of the clock face. Then, while the stem is in the upright position, remove the small white plastic insert fastened underneath it by pulling it straight up. This will activate the battery and, while the stem is in the upright position, you can set the time. Once this is completed, push the stem down and return the gasket to the outer rim. Make sure the "teeth" on the gasket are facing outward and not up against the insert.

To Replace the Battery

After removing the clock face from the crystal body, locate a very small "notch" on the thin outer rim of the back of the insert. This notch is located on the side portion of this rim. Pry this open with a small object such as an eyeglass screw driver using the flat head end. Once this is removed, you can replace the battery.
