Top Layers of Bedding

Duvets are filled with layers of material. A common fill is down feathers, but other options are polyester batting or wool. Duvets are commonly plain white and are used as inserts for a colored or patterned duvet cover. Duvet covers are decorative and protect the duvet from stains and spills. Duvets are usually sold separately from the duvet cover. If you change bedding for the season or you like to change up your style, a duvet and duvet cover may be a great fit for you.

Quilts are commonly made with three layers: a top and bottom layer of woven fabric with batting in the middle. The three layers are stitched together in a decorative pattern.
