Thomas Kinkade "Courage" Framed Floating Textured Print

Courage, a work of personal meaning for Thom, is the second image in the "Life Values" Collection. The journey of life, like the journey across the ocean, continues even after we reach safe harbor. Courage is Thom's prayer that this image will inspire us with a bit of hope and courage when we need it most. Perseverance was the first piece in the "Life Values" Collection and it depicts a humble sailboat bravely navigating its way through the ending of a storm, symbolic of the stormy vision of life at its most challenging moments. In Courage, we now see the same sailboat has come near the shore, illustrating Thoms' message that storms which confront all of us during the journey of life can be overcome with perseverance, faith and courage. Gel coating is rolled onto the image giving it the "textured" look. The image is framed and applied to a mat-board, then placed inside of another frame - giving it the appearance that image is "floating".

"In Courage I use a vocabulary of personal artistic symbols to convey this message: God rewards our perseverance with His gift of courage. A storm-tossed sailboat has come within sight of a lighthouse; the beacon of divine love will guide it to shore. A sublime radiance breaks through the clouds, embracing the boat in its holy light. / I painted Courage at a time when I was especially grateful for God's hand of deliverance in my life. May it remind you that courage is, truly, a gift from the Almighty."

About the Collection
Known as The Painter of Light™, Thomas Kinkade became recognized as America's most collected living artist. Reflecting his modest background, Kinkade painted bucolic scenes with themes of simple pleasures and inspiring messages. With each brushstroke, Thom eloquently captured the beauty in the world with an instantly recognizable use of color and light.

As a devout Christian, Kinkade used his gift as a vehicle to communicate and spread inherent life-affirming values. Kinkade credited the Lord for both the ability and the inspiration to create his paintings. His goal as an artist was to touch people of all faiths, to bring peace, and joy into their lives through the images he created. The letters he received every day testify to the fact that he had achieved this goal.

As an Authorized Thomas Kinkade gallery, ShopHQ is proud to pay tribute with limited editions, framed art, canvas prints and other licensed products. Capture the beauty and tranquility of one the most widely collected artists in the world and display one of his masterpieces in your own home.
