Use and Operation:
Preparing JetFry Digital Oil-Free Fryer for Use: Place fryer on level, heat-resistant surface, away from liquids and flammable materials. Allow 4" minimum clearance on all sides of the unit. Make sure fry basket is properly and securely assembled onto the fry bowl. Pull out the power cord from the internal cord storage located on the rear of the unit and insert plug into a power outlet. After plugging in unit, power indicator will turn red. Press the ON/OFF button to begin operation. Power Indicator will then turn on. Once unit is turned on, initial temperature will be set to 400°F. Press Temp button to adjust unit to your desired temperature. Unit can be set to either 200°F, 250°F, 300°F, 350°F, 375°F, or 400°F. Once unit is turned on, initial cooking time will be set to 15 minutes. Press TIMER- or TIMER+ button to decrease or increase desired cooking time. Once unit is turned on, Operating Status Indicator will turn on (fan icon), indicating the unit will now begin operating.
Basic Operating Instructions: After inserting plug into power outlet, preheat appliance for 5 minutes. To do so, first turn the JetFry on by pressing the ON/OFF button. Press TEMP button to set your cooking temperature, and then press TIMER- to set the timer for 5 minutes (default set time is 15 minutes). While preheating is not required, if you choose not to preheat before use, we recommend extending your cooking time by approximately 5 minutes for best results. Pull out the fry bowl and basket from the appliance. If you have preheated the JetFry, be careful when pulling out the fry bowl and basket, as they will be very hot. Only pull out the fry bowl and basket by the handle. Do not use the fry bowl without the fry basket. Place ingredients in fry basket, making sure not to overfill the basket past the MAX indicator line. Doing so will affect the end result of your food.
You may prepare different ingredients at the same time only if the cooking temperatures and times are the same. We do not recommend mixing pre-cooked food with raw food in the same fry basket at once. After unit has been preheated, set required cooking time for your food by pressing the TIMER- or TIMER+ buttons. Most foods will need to be shaken halfway through the cooking process. You can either set the timer to half the cooking time or set if for the full time. If you have set it for half the cooking time, you will need to reset the timer after you have shaken your ingredients. At this time, the status indicator light will turn on and the timer will start counting down the cooking time on the LCD screen. Any residual grease from your food will also be collected at the bottom of the fry bowl. Halfway through the cooking process, use the handle to remove the fry bowl and fry basket and gently shake the ingredients. Make sure the fry basket and fry bowl are securely attached together before shaking. Slide fry bowl and fry basket back into JetFry and let ingredients cook for remaining time.
After full time has elapsed, appliance will emit an audible alert. If you would like to stop the cooking process earlier than the set time, you can turn off appliance manually by pressing ON/OFF button. Check your ingredients for doneness. If food requires additional cooking time, slide fry bowl and basket back into appliance and reset temperature and timer dials. Pulling out fry bowl and basket briefly will not significantly affect internal temperature or the cooking process. Take ingredients out of appliance, press fry basket release button and lift fry basket out of fry bowl. Use caution as they will be hot. Do not empty ingredients with fry bowl still attached, as residual cooking grease will have accumulated at bottom. Empty fry basket's contents onto plate or bowl. Use tongs or utensils for larger items.
