The wood pieces include the cuckoo bird, the dial, numerals, and hand-carved hands. A majestic bird takes flight at the top, with two moving birds on the side. All are air brushed in a multi-colored finish. Made in Germany.
Designed with an 8-day mechanical movement, the cuckoo chirps at half and full hours, in addition to a chime gong. Completed with a night shut-off system for silence when you're sleeping.

Cuckoo clocks are generally available in two different mechanical movements. An 8-day movement will need to be wound about once a week. A 1-day movement will need to be wound around every 30 hours. To ensure the movement runs its full course, make sure you hang the clock high enough so the weights extend to their full length - usually about 6-1/2 feet high.
