Seamlessly Integrated Strength, Lightness and Beauty
Designed from a single piece of aluminum, the innovative Unibody design is thinner and lighter than other notebooks. This engineering breakthrough replaced many parts with just one for a strikingly sleek device. The first time you pick up a MacBook Pro you'll notice the difference it makes.

A Display of Bright Ideas
LED backlight technology makes the display instantly bright and allows it to be incredibly thin. The edge-to-edge glass lends structure to the display. The top of the screen includes the hidden, built-in FaceTime HD camera. See your friends and family in big, beautiful widescreen.

Hardware and Software Made for Each Other
The software built into every Mac is created by the same company that makes the Mac so you get a fully integrated system in which everything works together perfectly. OS X Mountain Lion works with the processor in your Mac to deliver the best possible performance.

Multi-Touch Trackpad
The trackpad has no button because it is the button. That means there's more room to track and more room to click.

Get Connected
With MagSafe power, Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire 800, Thunderbolt, USB 3, SDXC, and audio in/out, MacBook Pro gives you just about every connection and port you need.

Remarkably Simplicity
From the desktop you see when you start up your Mac to the applications you use every day, everything is designed to be easy and intuitive. And it all makes perfect sense, especially if you have an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.

Incredible Power
The Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Operating System is loaded with advanced technologies. It’s built on a rock-solid, time-tested UNIX foundation that provides stability and industry-leading support for Internet standards. The incredible graphics performance in OS X allows applications like Aperture and Final Cut Pro to give you unprecedented photo and video editing capabilities.

MagSafe Power Adapter
The power cord is held in place magnetically, so if someone should trip over it, the cord disconnects harmlessly and your MacBook Pro stays put.

MacBook Pro Essentials
The MacBook Essentials will enhance your MacBook experience with 20 free songs from eMusic. Create photos and turn them into canvas artwork with Easy Canvas Prints. The Syncables 360 software will sync your system with your latest mobile device and the online backup service, SOS Online allows you to back 50GB onto a secured cloud storage server.

Accessories
In addition to the Macbook Pro which includes a 6AC Adapter with Cord and Quick Start Guide, you will receive a One MacBook Essentials Certificate, Hard Shell Case Top and Bottom, rubber keyboard cover, cleaning cloth, wireless optical mouse, USB plug, Bluetooth Wireless Headphones and Cable Tie. The case and mouse come in your choice of color.

Notebooks

Choosing a Notebook:

Choosing a portable computer, usually called a laptop or notebook, is in many ways similar to choosing a standard desktop computer. Think about your computer needs and balance those with cost. Just remember that bigger screens and extra features usually mean more weight, and the whole point of buying this kind of computer over a desktop model is its portability.

Here's a quick rundown of the advantages and disadvantages between desktop and notebook computers:

Desktop computers are…

  • Generally less expensive than notebooks.
  • Usually have bigger keyboards and larger screens.
  • Are difficult to transport.
  • Often bulky and can take up a lot of desk space.

    Notebook computers are…

  • Lightweight and easy to take anywhere.
  • Small and take up very little space.
  • Usually more expensive than desktop models with similar features.
  • More difficult to upgrade and repair.
  • More susceptible to dropping and/or breaking.

If you decide that a notebook computer is what you want, the next step is to choose the correct machine to fit your needs. Use the scenarios below to determine the notebook that's right for you, based on how you want to use it.

    The Basic Home User

  • Wants a desktop replacement packed with the same features of a desktop computer, or a mid-size budget-friendly notebook that balances performance with portability.
